Medium: Quarter-inch thick craft foam

Finish: Plasti-dip (black)
Debut: Captain America: Civil War movie premier (first showing)
I have been waiting to upload this forever! I debuted this helmet with a Black Panther costume that I wore to the premier of Civil War. Yep, you heard right--I already had Black Panther finished before the movie even came out, hehe. A group of us planned to see Civil War in costume and as usual, we saw it on the first day.
First things first, this is NOT a pep project! No pep files were used at all in the making of this. I made my own pattern using a tutorial by EvilTed on YouTube with regards to helmet making.
The basic material is craft foam. The lenses are from some $5 glasses I bought from walmart and the silver striping is cardstock that I spray-painted silver. All in all, the mask is very low tech, but it did take some considerable skill with an exacto blade and quite a few hours to make. I believe this took me two to three days.
Black Panther is definitely my favorite super-hero by the way. And yes, my costume was Black Panther. I may be a female but that doesn't automatically mean I'm cosplaying Shuri or a Black Pantherette. I'm just... Black Panther.
